Project Description
The AKU Society, a small patient-group charity working to support people living with an ultra-rare disease called alkaptonuria (AKU). AKU causes a debilitating physical disability, chronic pain, and social isolation.
Each year we host an annual patient workshop which runs a number of specialist sessions to help our patients to manage the debilitating impacts of AKU more effectively.
As we are a very small charity (2.5 members of staff) we are looking to hire some freelance support to help the organisation and execution of our workshop. This would be a role supporting our part time Head of Welfare and Support to organise the workshop.
