Since the beginning of this year the new platform www.EventWork.com is active. This platform offers a marketplace to find (freelance) event professionals, nationally and internationally.

How does it work?

People working in the event industry or creative industry can easily create a profile, after which they are automatically informed of new (freelance) assignments within their field of interest and within their desired region.

Clients can easily place an assignment for free, after which they can compare and select different event professionals with their offers.

In this way, the platform wants to make the connection between client and event professional faster, more transparent and more efficient.  

"This platform should ensure greater transparency in the market, making it easier and more efficient to find (international) assignments in the event sector and creative industry. For clients, on the other hand, it will be easier to find and select the right event professional, both nationally and internationally",  says Harsh Kholapurkar, CTO of the company.

Focus on professionals in the event industry and creative industry

The platform has a broad orientation within the event industry and creative industry. For example, event managers, event technicians, catering professionals, event staff, but also professional speakers and artists can be found through the platform.

Precisely for this large group of (freelance) event professionals, there is currently no online marketplace where a connection with clients can easily be made.  

Large demand for event professionals

Currently, the demand for event professionals in the broad sense is very high, after all the corona measures have been abolished and the industry is flourishing again.

On the other hand, there is a shortage of event professionals, but this will be reduced in the future if the industry regains its long-term stability.

Before the corona crisis, a large part of the employed people in the (international) event sector worked on a freelance or self-employed basis. During the corona crisis, a significant number of them were forced to look for other work, which has led to a shortage of professionals in the event sector. Currently, however, the demand for these professionals is high again, which is expected to result in a return of professionals who have previously worked in the sector. EventWork.com is an online platform that can contribute to a more efficient matching of supply and demand, and increase job security for (freelance) event professionals', says CTO Harsh Kholapurkar.

International platform

The EventWork.com platform operates internationally, also outside India. This way it becomes easier to find (local) event professionals and artists when an event is organized abroad for instance in USA or Europe. In this way, the platform contributes to making use of local resources as much as possible, and to reducing international transport movements.
